Akron is a mid-sized city located in northeastern Ohio, with a population of approximately 197,000 residents. The city is home to a diverse economy, with major employers in healthcare, education, manufacturing, and technology. Akron is known for its history of innovation, including being the birthplace of the tire industry and the home of numerous world-renowned companies, such as Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and FirstEnergy Corporation. The city also offers a variety of cultural attractions, including the Akron Art Museum, the Akron Civic Theatre, and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. With access to numerous parks, hiking trails, and outdoor activities, Akron is a great place to live for those who enjoy the outdoors.
